ORDER : The Court Made the following order :- The petitioner, who apprehends arrest at the hands of the respondent police for the offence punishable under Sections 2, 21(d) (e) (f), 21(2) and 51 of TNF Act and Sections 27 and 29 of WLP Act in OR No.181 of 2019 on the file of the respondent police, seeks anticipatory bail.

The petitioner herein apprehends arrest for the alleged offence for illegally felling of 7 Vengai trees worth about 7 lakhs. Though the petitioner claims that he is only a wood picker in the forest and he has nothing to do with the crime, the terrestrial petition indicates that the petitioner herein along with other accused have cut fully grown vengai trees in the reserved forest area and absconded.

3. Considering the nature of crime committed by the petitioner, this Court is not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.
