ORDER

This amendment application has been filed seeking amendment of the prayer duly adding the claim for payment of interest with rate of 24% in view of long pendency of this writ petition.

Though learned counsel appearing for the respondents opposed https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis

WMP.No.8304 of 2025 the said application, this Court, having taken into consideration the fact that there is a long delay in disposal of the writ petition and even in the absence of a prayer for payment of interest, also in case if the petitioner is found entitled to the relief as originally sought for in the main writ petition, the interest is only consequential. Considering the same, this Court is inclined to order the above application and accordingly, the same is ordered as prayed for. 3.

Registry is directed to carryout necessary amendments and list the matter on 01.09.2025.
