The writ petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a writ of Mandamus directing the 2nd respondent to restore the Patta in respect of the Land in S.No. 420/3B3 to the extent of 0.35.5 Ares and S.No. 420/6 to the extent of 0.09.5 Ares and S.No. 421/1A to the extent of 1.67.5 Ares situated at Kalkalathur west, Veppanthattai Taluk, Perambalur 1/4

District in the name of the 5th respondent from the 6th respondent on the basis of the petitioners representation dated 30.06.2015 submitted to the 2nd respondent by the petitioner.

ORDER

This Writ Petition has been filed seeking a direction to the 2nd respondent to restore the Patta in respect of the Land in S.No. 420/3B3 to the extent of 0.35.5 Ares and S.No. 420/6 to the extent of 0.09.5 Ares and S.No. 421/1A to the extent of 1.67.5 Ares situated at Kalkalathur west, Veppanthattai Taluk, Perambalur District in the name of the 5th respondent from the 6th respondent on the basis of the petitioners representation dated 30.06.2015 submitted to the 2nd respondent by the petitioner.

2. When the matter is taken up for hearing, the learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner was the owner of the subject property and subsequently, he sold the property to the 5th respondent. Even thereafter, in the revenue records, the patta stands in the name of 2/4

the petitioner.

3. The learned counsel for the 5th respondent brought to the knowledge of this Court that subsequent to the filing of the writ petition, the 5th respondent sold the property to the 6th respondent. Hence, the matter become infructuous.
