ORDER

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed seeking for a direction, directing the first respondent to transfer the convicted prisoner confined at Central Prison, Puzhal, Chennai to Central Prison, Trichy, to secure ends of Justice.

2. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner's husband viz., Jaishankar was convicted by the learned Sessions Judge, Special Court, Chennai, for the offence under Sections 120(b) and 417 of IPC sentence to ten years rigorous imprisonment. Since the petitioner is the permanent resident of Duraimangalam, Perambalur District, she finds difficult to see her husband by travelling 300 kilometers from Perambalur to Chennai Puzhal Jail and therefore, she has submitted a representation to the first and second respondent, https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

to transfer the convicted prisoner from Central Prison, Puzhal, Chennai to Central Prison, Trichy, but till now, no action has been taken by the respondents. Therefore, she has filed this petition.

3. Considering the facts and circumstances of this case, the second respondent is directed to consider the representation dated 05.02.2019 of the petitioner and pass orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of three weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

4. Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
