ORDER
(Order of the Court was made by the Hon'ble Chief Justice) The writ petition has been filed to seek a direction on respondent Nos.1 to 4 not to raise construction of the Youth Welfare Development Centre in the campus of the fourth respondent.
2. It is submitted by the learned counsel for the petitioner that the campus of the fourth respondent belongs to an educational institution, but it is going to be used for construction of a Youth Welfare Development Centre having no concern with the educational activities, thus, the petitioner made a representation.
3. The learned counsel appearing for the respondents submit that the proposed building of the centre would be a threestoried building consisting of a total area of 16167 sq.ft. to accommodate (i) a library; (ii) a coaching centre for higher studies entrance examination; (iii) a coaching centre for competitive examinations; (iv) counselling centre for higher studies for school students; and (v) training for the skill development of the students. It is in consonance with the announcement of the Government in the Assembly and therefore, the skill development centres would be provided for the benefit of the students.
4. Taking the aforesaid into consideration, we do not find any ground to allow the prayer made by the petitioner as the Centre is to the benefit of the students in reference to the activities referred to above.
Accordingly, finding no substance in the writ petition, the same is dismissed. No costs. Consequently, W.M.P.No.4764 of 2022 is closed.
