..Respondents PRAYER : Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the second respondent herein to consider the representation dated 12.01.2026, submitted by the petitioner to correct the mistake appropriately as T.Ramesh instead of Murugan occurred in the birth certificate of M.Tejaswini Ramya, daughter of the petitioner bearing Registration No.COC/2010/06/86A/005924/0 dated 28.10.2010 and pass orders.

ORDER

The writ petition has been filed seeking a mandamus to the second respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 12.01.2026 to make necessary corrections in the birth certificate of her daughter M.Tejaswini Ramya.

2. The petitioner would submit that in the birth certificate of her daughter M.Tesjaswini Ramya, bearing Registration No.COC/2010/06/86A/005924/0 dated 28.10.2010, issued on 05.03.2024, it was observed that in the column "Name of the Father" his name was wrongly mentioned as 'Murugan' instead of 'T.Ramesh'. Hence, the petitioner had submitted a representation on 12.01.2026 seeking to make necessary corrections in the birth certificate. Since his representation was not considered to date, the petitioner is before this Court.

3. Considering the limited scope of prayer sought for in this writ petitioner, a mandamus is issued to the second respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 12.01.2026, in accordance with law and pass orders within a period of three weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. No costs.
