This criminal original petition has been filed to issue appropriate direction to the respondent to file the final report in the case registered in FIR No.16 of 2020 dated 18.11.2020.

2.The learned Additional Public Prosecutor on instructions submitted that the investigation was pending before the W-1, Tambaram All Women Police Station in Crime No.16 of 2020. Pursuant to the bifurcation, the case is now transferred to the Avadi Police Commissionerate and the case is yet to be assigned. 3.In the light of the above submission, there shall be a direction to the Commissioner of Police, Avadi Commissionerate to assign the case to the concerned Police Station, within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order. The investigation shall be completed and a final report or closure report, as the case may be shall be filed, within a period of six months thereafter.
