[ Respondent] Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for the issuance of a writ of mandamus directing the Respondent herein to dispose the application dated 1.12.2016 of the Petitioner for issuance of Legal Heir Certificate of his Deceased mother viz. Mrs.Kanthammal in accordance with law within a stipulated time frame as may be fixed by this Court.

Mrs.K.Bhuvaneswari, learned Government Advocate takes notice for the respondent.

2. By consent, the main writ petition itself is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

3. The petitioner has filed the above writ petition to issue a writ of mandamus directing the respondent to dispose of the application dated 01.12.2016 for issuance of Legal Heir Certificate of his deceased mother viz. Mrs.Kanthammal, in accordance with law, within a time frame.

4. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that inspite of the petitioner's application dated 01.12.2016, the respondent has not considered the same so far. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

Ms.K.Bhuvaneswari, learned Government Advocate, appearing for the respondent submitted that the respondent may be directed to consider the petitioner's application and pass orders in accordance with law, within a time frame.

Having regard to the submissions made by the learned counsel on either side, taking into consideration the limited prayer sought for by the petitioner in the writ petition, without expressing any opinion with regard to the merits of the case, I direct the respondent to consider the petitioner's application dated 01.12.2016 for issuance of legal heir certificate of his deceased mother viz., Mrs.Kanthammal and pass orders, in accordance with law, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. With the above observation, the writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
