H.C.P. has been filed to issue a writ of Habeas Corpus to call for the entire records relating to the petitioner's friend detention under Tamil Nadu Act 14 of 1982 vide detention order, dated 23.6.2014 on the file of the second respondent herein made in proceedings D.O.No.12/2014 and quash the same as illegal and consequently direct the respondents herein to produce the said petitioner's friend namely Santhi wife of Manoharan aged 47 years before this Court and set the petitioner's friend at liberty from detention, now the petitioner's friend detained at Special Prison for Women, Vellore. O R D E R

(The Order of the Court was made by M.JAICHANDREN J,) At this stage of the hearing of the Habeas Corpus Petition, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing on behalf of the respondents had submitted that the detention order, dated 23.6.2014, passed by the second respondent, had been revoked by a Government order in G.O.Rt.No.3718, Home, Prohibition & Excise (XI) Department, dated 31.7.2014. Hence, the Habeas Corpus Petition may be dismissed as infructuous.

2. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner had not refuted the said statement made by the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing on behalf of the respondents.

3. Recording the said submission made by the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing on behalf of the respondents, the Habeas Corpus Petition stands closed.
