Respondents Prayer: Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for issuance of a Writ of Certiorarified Mandamus directing respondent 1 to 4 herein not to transfer any one of the 690 Secondary Grade Teachers working in Guddalore Educational District and Coonor Educational District in Nilgiris District from the present working schools to any other schools in Nilgiris District till the end of the academic year 2018-2019 viz. 31.05.2019 For the Petitioner :

ORDER

(Made by the Hon'ble Chief Justice) We have heard Mr.S.Bharathy Kannan, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mrs.R.Anitha, learned Special Government Pleader, for the respondents.

2. The prayer made in the writ petition is not to transfer any one of the 690 Secondary Grade Teachers from Guddalore and Coonnor Educational Districts to any other schools, till the end of the academic year, 2018-19, i.e. till 31.05.2019.

3. With the passage of time, the relief claimed in the writ petition does not survive. The writ petition as such is dismissed. There will be no order as to costs. Consequently, WMP No.6406 of 2019 is closed. (S.V.G., CJ.) (D.B.C., J.) 10.11.2023 Index : Yes/No : Yes/No tar
