ORDER

This Writ Petition has been filed praying for direction to the first respondent herein to consider the petitioner's representation dated 28.10.2025 regarding Retirement and terminal benefits in the light of the orders passed by the first respondent herein in GO.(D) No.609 Municipal Administration and water Supplies (MC 3) Department dated 17.10.2025 with all consequential service and monetary benefits, within a time frame as deem fit and proper by this Court.

The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner was appointed in Puzhal Panchayat as Sanitary Worker and subsequently, she was absorbed in Greater Chennai Corporation on account of merger. Similarly situated persons worked along with the petitioner have been granted regularisation on completion of three years of service vide GO.(D) No.609 Municipal Administration and water Supplies (MC 3) Department dated 17.10.2025 thereby the petitioner submitted representation dated 28.10.2025 for granting such benefit in favour of the petitioner. However, no order has been passed so far.

Though very many grounds have been raised in this writ petition, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submits that, it would suffice, if this Court issues a direction to the 1st respondent to consider and dispose of the petitioner's representation dated 28.10.2025, on merits and in accordance with law, within a time frame that may be fixed by this Court.

4. In view of the limited request sought for by the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner, this Court, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, directs the 1st respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 28.10.2025, on merits and in accordance with law and pass appropriate orders, within a period of twelve (12) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, after affording an opportunity of personal hearing to the petitioner.
