Prayer: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to Writ of Certiorarified Manadmus to call for the records in connection with the impugned Final Notice dated 04.02.2021 issued by the respondent and to quash the same and further direct the respondent to waive property tax for six months.

O R D E R

Mr.K.Mahesh, learned Standing Counsel accepts notice for the respondent and is armed with instructions to proceed in the matter. Hence, by consent expressed by both parties, this Writ Petition is disposed finally even at the stage of admission.

2. The challenge in this Writ Petition is to a final notice dated 04.02.2021 calling upon the petitioner to remit property tax in respect of the property at 72, 72A, Echanari. The petitioner also seeks a direction to the respondent to waive property tax for six months, which cannot be granted by this Court. It is for the petitioner to make such a request before the respondent for its consideration.

3. It appears that on 14.12.2020, the petitioner has submitted a representation to the respondent citing the https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

difficulties caused by the COVID - 19 pandemic. This representation has been received by the respondent on 18.12.2020. Let the same be considered and disposed after hearing the petitioner within a period of four (4) weeks from today.

4. Both learned counsel submit that the concerned authority to consider the representation of the petitioner is Assistant Commissioner (South). Hence, the cause title is amended to read 'The Assistant Commissioner (South), Corporation of Coimbatore, Coimbatore - 641 001'.
