This writ petition has been filed seeking issuance of a writ of mandamus directing the second respondent to provide police protection for conducting Executive Committee Election to be held on 18.02.2024 based on petitioner's representation dated 24.01.2024.

2. Heard Mr.M.Vignesh, learned counsel for petitioner and Mr.A.Damodaran, learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for respondents 1 and 2.

3. It is seen from records that already a civil suit is pending in O.S.No.546 of 2022 before the Additional District Munsif Court, Alandur. There is an inter se dispute between the parties and the same is civil in nature and in a case of this nature, the police should not interfere. Therefore, it is left open to the parties to work out their remedy before the civil Court. Except giving this clarity, no further orders can be passed in this petition.
