This petition has been filed to issue direction to the respondent authority to give permission and police protection to conduct Cultural Programme (Adalum Padalum) on 24.02.2020 in the event of " Shri Angala Parameshwari Temple Festival" situated at No.3/108, Ambethkar Street, Arapakkam Village, Arapakkam Wallajah, Vellore District632517 by considering the petitioner's representation dated 12.02.2020.
2. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) appearing for the respondent.

The learned counsel for the petitioner has submitted that the petitioner is a native of Arapakkam Village, Wallajah, Vellore District and in his village, one temple by name Shri Angala Parameshwari Temple is there and for the past two decades, the temple festival was celebrated and cultural programme was conducted. Likewise,
in this year also they have decided to celebrate the temple festival and conduct cultural programme. Hence, the petitioner has submitted a representation to the respondent on 12.02.2020 seeking permission and police protection for conducting temple festival and cultural programme on 24.02.2020, but, so far, no action has been taken in the said representation.
4. Per contra, the learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) has submitted that there is a rival group in the said village and hence, he requests to direct the respondent to conduct an enquiry and dispose of the petitioner's representation.
5. Considering the aforesaid submissions, the respondent is directed to conduct enquiry with regard to the petitioner's representation with the petitioner and also with rival group if any and dispose of the petitioner's representation on or before 21.02.2020 and inform to the petitioner about the result in the said enquiry.
6.With the above directions, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
