By consent, the writ petition itself is taken up for final disposal.

2.The petitioner claims that he is in possession of agricultural lands in Survey No.88 admeasuring to an extent of 3.69.0 ares and in Survey No.72 admeasuring to an extent of 22.18.5 ares. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

He further claims that he and his brother are in peaceful possession and enjoyment of the same and doing cultivation for more than 45 years and he has also constructed a building and paid property tax and other statutory levies. The petitioner has applied for issuance of patta on 16.2.2015, to the third respondent with necessary documents and since he has not been favoured with any response, came forward to file this writ petition.

3.Heard the submissions of the learned Counsel appearing for the petitioner, and also Mr.S.V.Duraisolaimalai, learned Additional Government Pleader, who took notice for the respondents. 4.This Court, taking into consideration the limited scope of prayer sought for by the petitioner, and without going into the merits of the application for patta submitted by the petitioner, directs the third respondent to consider the application dated 16.2.2015, submitted by the petitioner, and dispose of the same on merits and in accordance with law, as expeditiously as possible and not later than eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, after putting the concerned persons on notice.
