These applications have been filed to extend a further period of three months in terms of Section 29A to enable the Sole Arbitrator to complete the arbitral proceedings.
2. The learned counsel appearing for the applicants submitted that the matter has almost been settled between the parties on 28.02.2019. The terms of compromise has been exchanged between the parties and the same has not been culminated in the final award due to want to time and expiry of time. Hence, he seeks further period of three months to be extended to conclude the proceedings.
3. The learned counsel for the respondents has no objection.
4. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case and also considering the fact that the settlement has been reached between the parties, this Court is inclined to extend the time for a period of three months to enable the sole arbitrator to complete the arbitral proceedings.
