Criminal Original Petition filed under Section 482 of Criminal Procedure Code, to call for the records pertaining the FIR in Crime No.8 of 2013, of the Deputy Superintendent of Police, Vigilance and Anti Corruption, Vellore pending before the Special Judge for Vigilance and Anti Corruption Cases (Chief Judicial Magistrate) at Vellore and quash the same as against these petitioners in the interest of justice. ORDER

This criminal original petition has been filed to call for the records pertaining the FIR in Crime No.8 of 2013, on the file of the respondent police pending before the Special Judge for Vigilance and Anti Corruption Cases.

2.Mr.Vijay, Inspector of Police, Vigilance and Anti Corruption, Vellore, was present at the time of hearing. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

3.The learned Additional Public Prosecutor on instructions submitted that the investigation has been completed and a final report has been filed before the Chief Judicial Magistrate, Vellore on 23.01.2021. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor further submitted that totally 116 documents were filed along with the final report and 14 sets of copies was also filed before the concerned Court.

4.Taking into consideration the facts and circumstances of the case and the submissions of the learned Additional Public Prosecutor, there shall be a direction to the Chief Judicial Magistrate, Vellore, to act upon the final report filed by the respondent police within a period of four weeks form the date of receipt of copy of this order.

5.This criminal original petition is disposed of accordingly. Consequently, the connected miscellaneous petitions are closed.
