Respondents Prayer: Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for a writ of mandamus directing the respondents to take appropriate action to protect and safeguard the Ayyaneri Lake from encroachment and other disturbance within a time frame fixed by this Court by considering the representation dated 28.04.2021 given by the petitioner along with the residents of Mathanathur Village.

ORDER

(Order of the Court was made by the Hon'ble Chief Justice) Learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner is ready to make a fresh representation to the authority concerned in regard to the alleged encroachment.

2. Learned Additional Government Pleader assures that if a fresh representation is made by the petitioner, the respondent authorities shall consider the same and take immediate action, if encroachment is found.

3. The writ petition is disposed of in terms aforesaid. No costs.
