The learned counsel for the petitioner has moved this application for extension of time to make the award on account of the fact that as per the order dated 06.09.2013 a time period of three months was fixed from the date of issuance of the notice by the Arbitrator.

2. He submits that the arbitration proceedings were going on despite the expiry of the said period of time, but on the change of counsel of the respondents, an objection was raised in this behalf.

3. In view of the aforesaid, it is directed that the Arbitrator will continue to proceed with the arbitration and an endeavour be made to conclude the arbitration as soon as possible, preferably within a period of six months (this observation does not provide the maximum period of time).
