The petitioner, who is working as Assistant Engineer in the office of the Regional Director of Municipal Administration, Chengalpattu, at request, was transferred to Chennai Corporation by an order dated 22.09.2014.

2. It is the grievance of the petitioner that she should be taken into account for promotion to the post of Assistant Executive Engineer, as she has rendered number of years of service in Municipal Administration. However, her name has not been considered, therefore, she has given representation on 18.09.2017 to the respondents and the same has not been considered. Hence, the petitioner has come forward with this Writ Petition.

3.Mr.R.Arunmozhi, learned Standing Counsel, takes notice for the respondents and seeks four weeks time to consider the petitioner's representation.

4.Considering the limited relief sought for in this petition and without going into the merits of the matter, this Court hereby directs the 1st respondent to consider the representation made by the petitioner and pass appropriate orders, on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 5.With the above direction, the writ petition is disposed of accordingly. No costs.
