Writ petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to issue a Writ of Certiorarified Mandamus to call for the entire records which culminated in issuing the proceedings in Na.Ka.No. 220/A3/2014 dated 19.08.2014 on the file of the second respondent, quash the same and consequently direct the respondents, particularly the second respondent, to consider the claim of the petitioner for promotion to the post of B.T.Assistant (Maths) in the immediate next available vacancy on the basis of of the petitioner seniority being No.1 in the seniority drawn for the year 2014. For Petitioner : Mr.S.Vijayan For Respondents : Mr.S.Gunasekaran Government Advocate

Today, when the Writ Petition was taken up for hearing, the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner sought permission of this Court to withdraw the Writ Petition. He has also made an endorsement to that effect.
