Respondents Prayer: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to issue Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to revise the petitioner's wages with effect 01.09.2016 based on the 13th wage settlement dated 04.01.2018 and pay him the difference in Gratuity and Leave Liability along with the interest at the rate of 12% per annum from the date of entitlement within a time limit to be stipulated by this Court. 1/4

O R D E R

This Writ Petition has been filed to direct the respondents to revise the petitioner's wages with effect from 01.09.2016 based on the 13th wage settlement dated 04.01.2018 and pay him the difference in Gratuity and Leave Liability along with the interest at the rate of 12% per annum from the date of entitlement within a time frame to be fixed by this Court.

2. The petitioner joined the service of the first respondent and retired from service on 31.05.2017. Thereafter, he submitted representation on 06.01.2026 to the respondents seeking for revision of his wages and consequential retirement benefits based on 13th wage settlement dated 04.01.2018. As the said representation has not been considered, till date, this writ petition has been filed with the aforesaid prayer.

3. Heard the submissions made by the learned counsel on either side and perused the materials available on record.

In view of the limited request sought for in this writ petition, this Court directs the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation dated 06.01.2026, and pass orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. It is made clear that the petitioner is entitled for interest at the rate of 6% per annum from the date of entitlement till the date of disbursement.

5. With the above directions, this Writ Petition stands disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
