ORDER

(Order of the Court was made by M.M.SUNDRESH, J.) Alleging that the order dated 14.07.2014 made in W.P.No.3347 of 2014 has not been complied with, the present

contempt petition has been filed.

2.In the affidavit filed by the second respondent, in paragraphs 10 to 12, it has been stated as under: "10.I respectfully submit that the State Adi Dravidar Welfare Committee has been constituted under the Chairmanship of the Minister for Adi Dravidar and Tribal Welfare to monitor the welfare schemes formulated and implemented for the welfare of the Scheduled Caste people. The above Committee reviews and monitors the educational standard of schools, reservation for Scheduled Castes in education and employment, implementation of all the schemes for the development of Scheduled Caste, Economic Development Schemes implemented by the Tamil Nadu Adi Dravidar Housing Development Corporation, implementation of the Scheduled Caste Sub-Plan, issuance of house site pattas to Scheduled Caste people etc., 11.It is therefore, submitted that the State have decided that the Apex Level Committees themselves look after the welfare of the Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes and they are adequate.

12.I respectfully submit that based on the position stated above, the formation of a State Commission for Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes does not arise."

3.Thus, from the aforesaid paragraphs, it is clear that the respondents have taken the decision that they are not inclined to form a separate State Commission for Scheduled Tribes. Since such a decision has already been taken, there is sufficient compliance of the order passed. Accordingly, the contempt petition is closed. However, liberty is given to the petitioner to work out the remedy in the manner known to law.
