ORDER

This writ petition has been filed for the issue of writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to consider the representation made by the petitioner, who is seeking for promotion to the post of Assistant Executive Engineer. 2.

The case of the petitioner is that he is entitled for promotion to the post of Assistant Executive Engineer and he made a representation in this regard to the respondents 2 and 3. The 2nd respondent by his letter dated 30.10.2019, directed the 3rd respondent to submit the recommendations to consider granting promotion to the petitioner. In turn, the 3rd respondent by his proceedings dated 13.11.2019, has already forwarded a representation to the 4th respondent, directing him to submit the recommendations, as per letter of the 2nd respondent. The grievance of the petitioner is that the 4th respondent has not acted upon these letters and therefore, left with no other option, the present writ petition has been filed before this Court.

Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned counsel appearing for the respondents. 4.

Taking into consideration the facts and circumstances of the case and the limited relief that has been sought for in this writ petition, there shall be a direction to the respondents 2 to 4 to consider the representation made by the petitioner on 27.06.2019 and pass appropriate orders, strictly in accordance with law, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order. The petitioner is directed to make a fresh representation to respondents 2, 3 and 4 along with copy of earlier representation dated 27.06.2019 and also a copy of this order.

This writ petition is disposed of with the above directions. No costs.
