PRAYER: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a writ of mandamus directing the respondents to pass a final award in respect of the acquisition of lands comprised in survey No.119/2C1 part, New No.307/2, measuring 144 sq.mtrs. out of 184 sq.mtrs, Vandalur Village, Chengalpet Taluk, Kanchipuram District by invoking the provisions of the Right to Fair Compensation and Transparency in Land Acquisition and Rehabilitation and Resettlement Act 2013 (Central Act 2013), and after issuing a notice of enquiry to the land owners.

ORDER

This writ petition has been filed to issue a writ of mandamus directing the respondents to pass a final award in respect of the acquisition of lands comprised in survey No.119/2C1 part, New No.307/2, measuring 144 sq.mtrs. out of 184 https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

sq.mtrs, Vandalur Village, Chengalpet Taluk, Kanchipuram District by invoking the provisions of the Right to Fair Compensation and Transparency in Land Acquisition and Rehabilitation and Resettlement Act 2013 (Central Act 2013), and after issuing a notice of enquiry to the land owners.

2. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that already final award has been passed in respect of the acquisition.

3. Therefore, nothing survives in this writ petition for further adjudication. Accordingly, this writ petition is dismissed as infructuous. However, the petitioner is at liberty to challenge the final award passed by the authority concerned. No order as to costs.
