2. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the applicants/defendants and there is no representation for the respondent/plaintiff.

3. On perusal of documents, it appears that this application has been filed only to condone the delay of 56 days. The said delay is not a huge delay. Further, being the reason that this application has been filed by the defendants only for filing the written statement, the delay of 56 days is condoned. Accordingly, this application is allowed.
