Respondents Petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the Sub Collector (Revenue) cum Authorised Officer (Acquisition) Karaikal, the second respondent herein to pay compensation to the petitioner being the cultivating tenant for the land bearing Resurvey No.87/1, Nanja land to an extent of 3 1⁄2 Mah (approx.1 acre and 15 cents) in Keezhayur, Pattinacherry Village acquired by the respondents for the construction of houses to tsunami victims within a time frame as may be fixed by this Hon'ble Court. ORDER
When the matter was taken up, learned counsel for the petitioner stated that the bundle has been taken away by the petitioner long time back.
2. In view thereof, since the matter is pending from 2011 and the petitioner has not prosecuted the matter after taking back the bundle, this writ petition is dismissed for non prosecution.
