ORDER

This Writ Petition has been filed praying to direct the 3rd respondent to give police protection to the petitioner and consequently to consider the petitioner's representation dated 04.12.2024 and dispose of the same within the time stipulated by this court.

2. Heard both sides and perused the materials available on record.

It is seen that there is a boundary dispute between the petitioner and the respondents 5 to 7 herein, in respect of the land owned by the petitioner, comprised in S.No.30/2, 29/1F, 31/1E. 30/9A, 30/3 Kanchanayakkanpatti, Omalur Sub Registrar, Salem West District. For getting separate patta in respect of the abovesaid properties, he filed a petition before the 2nd respondent to measure the properties, but the 2/8

respondents 5 to 7 who are the adjacent land owners of the petitioner's land, with an ulterior motive, have not allowed to measure the properties and also abused him and also threatened him with dire consequences. and it is pending on the file of the Revenue authorities /2nd respondent. Hence, the petitioner on 04.12.2024 gave a representation before the respondents to grant police protection for measuring the property in order to get separate patta.

For any property dispute, in order to protect his interest, the petitioner ought to have approach the the civil court for appropriate relief, therefore, the relief sought for in this writ petition seeking police protection cannot be granted. The Writ Petition is devoid of merits. So it is dismissed. No costs.
