Respondents PRAYER: Writ Petitions filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to revise the interse seniority of Assistant Engineers who were initially selected based on Combined Services Examinations 2006 conducted by the 3rd respondent for Highways Department based on the marks they scored in their selection by the 3rd respondent with effect from the year of their joining the service by extending the judgment of this Court dated 31.03.2015 passed in W.A.No.2705 of 2012, etc. batch and confirmed by the Hon'ble Supreme Court in their orders dated 22.01.2016 within a time frame and accordingly based on such revision of seniority to consider and promote afresh the petitioners and other Assistant Engineers of the said batch based to the category of Assistant Divisional Engineer replacing the already temporarily promoted Assistant Engineers of their batch. Counsel for TNPSC * * * * * COMMON ORDER All the petitioners herein have been appointed after 10.03.2003, which is the cut-off date fixed by the Hon'ble Supreme Court in a batch of cases relating to fixation of seniority as per the TNPSC seniority merit list.
2. In the counter-affidavit filed by the respondents, it is stated that the seniority of Assistant Engineers/Junior Inspectors/Junior Architects who were selected in the competitive examination conducted after 2003, have been revised based on the merit list issued by the TNPSC. As such, the grievance of the petitioners having been redressed and hence, no further orders are required to be passed in the present writ petitions.
