O R D E R

(The case has been heard through video conference) This Criminal Original Petition has been filed seeking to modify the condition imposed by the learned Principal Sessions Judge, Chennai while granting anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

2. The petitioner has been implicated for the offences under Sections 409, 420 and120(B) and Section 76(1) of the Chit Funds Act, 1982. Hence the petitioner filed a petition for anticipatory bail before the Court below.

3. The Court below while granting anticipatory bail to the petitioner imposed certain conditions. One of the conditions is that the petitioner shall deposit original title deed worth about Rs.20 lakhs in the said Court.

4. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner is ready and willing to deposit title deeds but since the petitioner is not in possession of any property she is not in a position to deposit any title deed and he sought modification to the effect that the petitioner may be permitted to deposit his close relatives original title deeds worth Rs.20 lakhs.

5. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, the condition already imposed on the petitioner in Crl.M.P.No.1278 of 2020, dated 24.01.2020 by the Court below, is modified and the petitioner is directed to deposit original title deeds of his close relatives worth about Rs.20 lakhs. The other conditions shall remain.

6. This Criminal Original Petition is disposed of, with the above modification.
