ORDER

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondents 1 to 3 to provide adequate protection to the life of the petitioner and his family.

2. According to the petitioner, he has filed a suit in O.S.No.115 of 2016 before the District Munsif Court, Jayamkondam for permanent injunction. The defendants therein have also filed a written statement and the suit is now pending for trial. When such being the case, the fourth respondent, who is the Sub Inspector of Police, within the territorial jurisdiction of Jayamkondam Police Station, at the instigation of the third defendant in the suit, is unnecessarily harassing the petitioner, in spite of repeated requests as well as representation made by the petitioner. 3. Learned Additional Public Prosecutor, on the other hand, submitted that there is no such harassment caused by the fourth respondent, as alleged by the petitioner. The said submission is recorded.

4. Since the dispute between the parties is civil in nature, the respondents are directed not to harass the petitioner and his family members, but advise the parties to approach the Civil Court for appropriate relief in the manner known to law.

5. This Criminal Original Petition is disposed of accordingly.
