ORDER
The matter is today listed under the caption "for being mentioned".
2. This Court, by order dated 20.01.2026, allowed Crl.O.P. No. 910 of 2026. Subsequently, an amendment petition in Crl.MP.No.3399 of 2026 was filed seeking certain amendments in the order dated 20.01.2026, and the same was allowed on 05.03.2026. However, the following text has been inadvertently omitted in the said order:
"The petitioners shall surrender before the jurisdictional Court within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order".
3. In view of the above, the Registry is directed to carry out necessary correction by inserting the following text in the end of the second paragraph in the order dated 20.01.2026 in Crl.O.P. No. 910 of 2026. "The petitioners shall surrender before the jurisdictional Court within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, dated 13.03.2026".
4. The Registry is also directed to carry out the amendment ordered by this Court in Crl.MP.No.3399 of 2026, dated 05.03.2026, and issue a fresh order copy to the parties forthwith.

Respondents PRAYER: Criminal Original Petition is filed under Section 528 of Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita/Section 482 Cr.P.C, to direct the learned II Additional District Judge (Special Judge for SC & ST (PoA) Act), Puducherry, to consider the bail application to be filed by the petitioners in Crime No.176 of 2025 on the file of the second respondent police on the same day of their surrender.

O R D E R
The present Criminal Original Petition has been filed seeking a direction to the learned II Additional District Judge (Special Judge for SC & ST (PoA) Act), Puducherry, to accept the surrender of the petitioners and consequently consider their bail petitions on the same day, on merits, in connection with Crime No.176 of 2025 on the file of the second respondent police.

In view of the specific bar under Section 18 of the Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes (Prevention of Atrocities) Act, 1989 and also taking into consideration the possibility of misusing the pious intention of the Parliament against innocent persons, there shall be a direction to the learned, II Additional District Judge (Special Judge for SC & ST (PoA) Act), Puducherry, to consider the petitioners' bail application(s), preferably on the same day of their surrender, in connection with Crime No.176 of 2025 on the file of the second respondent police and to pass appropriate orders in accordance with law, after affording due opportunity to the victims under Section 15-A of the SC/ST (POA) Act, 1989. The petitioners shall surrender before the jurisdictional Court within a period of fifteen days from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition stands allowed. 20.01.2026 ham To 1.
