The petitioner submitted a representation to the State Level Scrutiny Committee on 19 January 2013 for verifying the genuineness of her Scheduled Tribe Community Certificate. The State Level Scrutiny Committee, pursuant to the representation, summoned the petitioner for enquiry on 8 June 2015. According to the petitioner, she appeared before the Committee as scheduled. Subsequently, the State Level Scrutiny Committee, by letter dated 11 May 2016 called upon the Deputy Superintendent of https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
Police, Vigilance Cell, Salem Region, to conduct enquiry and submit a report. It is the grievance of the petitioner that follow up action was not taken by the State Level Scrutiny Committee to conclude the proceedings. The petitioner is therefore before this Court.
2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Special Government Pleader on behalf of the respondents.
3. The documents available on record indicates that the representation submitted by the petitioner on 19 January 2013 is pending before the State Level Scrutiny Committee. Even though the Committee called for a report from the Vigilance Cell, as early as on 11 May 2016, the fact remains that proceedings are still pending.
4. We therefore, direct the State Level Scrutiny Committee, the second respondent herein, to conclude the proceedings as expeditiously as possible, and in any case, within a period of three months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
5. The writ petition is disposed of with the above direction. No costs.
