ORDER

This petition has been filed to call for the records and to quash the FIR in Crime No.433 of 2014 on the file of the 1st respondent as null.

2.Heard the learned counsel for the petitioners and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor for the 1st respondent and perused the material placed on record.

3.On the complaint lodged by one G.Selvarajan, the respondent Police has registered a case in Crime No.433 of 2014 on 18.05.2014 for offences under Sections 147, 294(b), 323, 506(ii) https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

against 5 persons and 10 unnamed others. G.Selvarajan and Ronald Regan (A1) are close relatives. After registration of FIR, G.Selvarajan and the accused appear to have entered into an amicable settlement and therefore, they have approached this Court for quashing the FIR.

4.Today, G.Selvarajan is present before this Court and he was identified by the respondent police. He has also filed an affidavit, wherein he has stated as follows:

"I state that now all out family dispute has been amicably settled and I was not ready to proceed further the criminal proceedings against my son in law pending before R8 Vadapalani Police Station, in Crime No.433 of 2014 for alleged an offence u/s 147, 294(b), 323 and 506(ii) IPC.

Hence I therefore pray that this Hon'ble Court may be pleased to quash the FIR given by me as against my son in law and others in before R8 Vadapalani Police Station, in Crime No.433/2014 for alleged an offence u/s 147, 294(b), 323 and 506(ii) IPC on the file of the respondent police and pass such further or other orders as this Hon'ble Court may deem fit and proper in the circumstances of the above case and thus render justice."

Recording the above, this petition is allowed and the FIR in Crime No.433 of 2014 on the file of R8 Vadapalani Police Station, is quashed.
