The petitioner has filed the above Writ Petition to issue a writ of mandamus directing the 1st respondent to dispose of the petitioner's Appeal No.9271 of 2012 dated 28.08.2012. 2.Mr.K.Gandhi Kumar, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that though the petitioner has filed the appeal before the 1st respondent as early as on 28.08.2012, the 1st respondent has not disposed of the same yet. 3.Ms.A.Madhumathi, learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents 1 and 2 submitted that the 1st respondent may be directed to dispose of the appeal, if the same is pending, within a period of twelve weeks.

4.Mr.R.Gokulakrishnan, learned counsel appearing for the respondents 3 to 5 submitted that an opportunity of hearing may be given to the respondents 3 to 5 at the time of disposing of the appeal.

5.Having regard to the submissions made by the learned counsel on either side, taking into consideration the limited prayer sought for in the Writ Petition, without expressing any opinion with regard to the merits of the case, I direct the 1st respondent to dispose of the appeal in Appeal No.9271 of 2012 dated 28.08.2012, if the same is pending, on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of twelve (12) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, after giving an opportunity of hearing to all the interested parties. 6.With these observations, the Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
