Criminal Original petition filed under Section 482 of Code of Criminal Procedure, to give police protection to the petitioner and her husband's family from the 4th respondent and his men on the basis of the representation dated 05.11.2019. ORDER
This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to to direct the respondents 1 to 3 to give police protection based on the petitioner's representation dated 05.11.2019.
2. The learned counsel for the petitioner has submitted that the petitioner belongs to Hindu Yadhava Community and she married one Dhanavel, who belongs to Hindu Adi Dravidar
Community. He further submitted that the fourth respondent is the petitioner's father who has not accepted the said marriage, trying to kill the petitioner and her husband and hence she sent a complaint to the respondents 1 to 3 dated 05.11.2019 and 11.02.2020. But, so far, no action has been taken on the said complaint and therefore he prayed to direct the respondents 1 to 3 to give police protection to the petitioner and her husband.
3. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor who is appearing for the respondents 1 to 3 has submitted that the third respondent may be directed to conduct an enquiry on the said complaint/representation of the petitioner and dispose of the same in accordance with the law.
4. Considering the aforesaid submissions, the third respondent is directed to conduct an enquiry on the petitioner's complaint after giving opportunity to the petitioner and also to the fourth respondent and dispose of the said complaint/representation in accordance with law.
5. With the aforesaid directions, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
