promoted with all monetary and consequential service benefits within a stipulated period.

This writ petition has been filed to issue Writ of Mandamus directing the Respondents to re-fix the seniority of the Petitioner in the cadre of Assistant, based on the combined inter-se-seniority list in the cadre of Junior Assistant/Typist/Steno-typist as per Rule 35(a) of the Tamil Nadu State and Subordinate Service Rules and consequently promote the Petitioner to the post of Assistant and Deputy Tasildhar retrospectively with effect from the date on which his juniors in the combined seniority list was promoted with all monetary and consequential service benefits within a stipulated period. 2.

The learned counsel for the petitioner seeks permission of this Court to withdraw the petition and he has also made an endorsement to that effect.

In view of the endorsement made by the learned counsel for 2/4

the petitioner, this writ petition is dismissed as withdrawn. There shall be no order as to costs.
