Respondents PRAYER: Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to given a Xerox copy of the Challan remitted in the name of the Mr.Moorthy, S/o Ranganathan in connection with the Cr.No.743/2010 on the file of the Thindivanam, Prohibition and Enforcement Wing regarding the car Ford Icon TN-02-R-0448. For Petitioner : No Appearance For Respondents : Mr.K.Chandrasekaran O R D E R The relief sought for in the present writ petition is to direct the respondents to give a Xerox copy of the Challan remitted in the name of Mr.Moorthy S/o Ranganathan in connection with Crime No.743 of 2010, on the file of the Thindivanam Prohibition and Enforcement Wing regarding the Car Ford Icon bearing Registration No.TN02-R-0448.

2.The learned counsel for the respondents Bank brought to the notice of this Court that the transaction is no way connected with the petitioner and he seeks the copy of the Challan, which was remitted in the name of one Moorthy and therefore, the petitioner is not entitled to get the copy from the Bank by filing a writ petition.

3.This apart, the learned counsel for the Bank submitted that the Challan itself is not available with the Bank and under these circumstances, the relief as such sought for in the writ petition deserves no merits consideration and accordingly, the writ petition stands dismissed. No costs.
