O R D E R
This petition has been filed to direct the respondent authority to give police protection and permission to conduct cultural programme (Adal Padal Nigalchi) in the event of Kommampattu Village Arulmigu Sree Throwpathiamman Temple Mahasivarathiri Festival at Uthangarai Taluk, Krishnagiri District on 24.02.2020 between 6.00PM to 11.00PM by considering the petitioner's representation dated 13.02.2020.
2. The learned counsel for the petitioner has submitted that the petitioner is a resident of Kommampattu Village, Uthangarai Taluk, Krishnagiri District. He further submitted that in the said village there is a temple by name Arulmigu Sree Throwpathiamman Temple. He further submitted that the people of https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
the said village used to celebrate the aforesaid temple every year and likewise this year also they have decided to celebrate the said temple festival on 24.02.2020 and during that temple festival cultural programme also will be held and hence the petitioner being a Secretary of Vila Committee has submitted a representation to the respondent on 13.02.2020 seeking permission and also police protection but so far no action has been taken on the said representation and therefore he prayed to direct the respondent to give permission and also police protection for conducting the temple festival and also cultural programme for the aforesaid temple on 24.02.2020.

The learned Additional Public Prosecutor has submitted that last year some dispute arose between two groups with regard to the celebration of the aforesaid temple and hence he requests to direct the respondent to conduct enquiry with regard to the petitioner's representation and dispose of the same.

Considering the aforesaid submissions, the respondent is directed to conduct enquiry on the petitioner's representation dated 13.02.2020 by giving opportunity to the petitioner and also rival groups if any, and dispose of the same on or before 21.02.2020 and inform the result to the petitioner. 5.With the above directions, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
