Writ petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for issuance of writ of mandamus, directing the respondents to shift the Electrical Transformer Equipment outside the entrance of the Children Noon Meal Centre, Kodambakkam, Chennai situate in S.No.204, Kodambakkam Village to any other suitable alternate space.

O R D E R
This writ petition is filed for a mandamus directing the respondents to shift the electrical transformer equipment, which they are intending to set up in front of Noon Meal Centre, Kodambakkam, Chennai.
2. Mr.P.R.Dilip Kumar, learned standing counsel for the Tamilnadu Electricity Board has produced the written instructions given by the Assistant Engineer, TANGEDCO, Vadapalani. The Assistant Engineer, TANGEDCO, in his written instructions stated that the trible pole structure was erected for effecting service connection for the purpose of BOV Vehicle charging station at Vellala Street, Kodambakkam near Best Hospital. The site was inspected and found that the nearby transformer was not sufficient to accomodate the load applied. Hence, a new Triple pole structure with 250KVA transformer was proposed at Vellala Street without causing hindrance to the public/vehicle movements and the estimate was sanctioned on 01.02.2021.
As the structure erection work was taken up and partial works were completed, an objection letter was received from "the Residents and public of Vellala Street" to stop erection of structure work therefore, the work had been temporarily kept on hold. Meanwhile, on 22.02.2021, a letter was received from the Assistant Executive Engineer / Zone - 9 regarding the cancellation of the application.
3. Based on the said letter, the Assistant Engineer, TANGEDCO has instructed the learned counsel that they have stopped work of erecting the transformer in front of the Noon Meal Centre and they are not going to proceed with the work in the said place.
4. Recording the said statement of the learned counsel appearing for the TANGEDCO, this writ petition is closed as no further orders are required. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed. No costs. Registry is directed to keep the written instruction as part and parcel of this writ petition.
