ORDER

The petitioner, who apprehends arrest at the hands of the respondent police for the offences punishable under Sections 296(b), 115(3) 118(1), 351(3) BNS Act r/w 4 of TNPWH Act in Crime No.24 of 2026, on the file of the respondent Police, seeks anticipatory bail.

2. The allegations against the petitioner is that the petitioner has given some amount as loan to the defacto complainant's son, subsequently, he has not repaid the same. Hence, on the date of an occurrence, the petitioner herein went to the house of the defacto complainant and attacked her and her husband with knife and caused severe injuries, which led to the registration of the case. Hence, the present petition for anticipatory bail.

3. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that the injured in this case had sustained only simple injures. He further submitted that it is a false accusation and he is ready to cooperate with the investigation and hence, he prayed to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

4. The learned Government Advocate (Criminal side) appearing for the respondent police reiterated the prosecution case and submitted that now, the injured had been discharged from the hospital. However, the petitioner has used knife and attacked the defacto complainant and her husband. He 2/4

further submitted that the petitioner is having one previous case of similar nature. Hence, he opposed to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

5. Considering the serious allegations, the fact that the petitioner had used knife and attacked two persons and he is having one previous case of similar nature, I am not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

6. Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition stands dismissed. 09.02.2026 Vv To
