Respondents Prayer:- Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of Constitution of India for the issuance of Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents include the petitioner's name in the final voter's list of Koothanallur Periya Pallivasal Jamath Wakf in accordance with the voters' list of Election Commission of India pertaining to Koothanallur Village.

ORDER

This Writ Petition has been filed for a direction directing the respondents to include the petitioner's name in the final voters list of Koothanallur Periya Pallivasal Jamath Wakf in accordance with the voters list of Election Commission of India.

2. Heard the learned counsel appearing on either side and perused the materials available on record.

3. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner had already made several representations to the fourth respondent to include his name in the final voters list of Koothanallur Periya Pallivasal Jamath Wakf. However, so far it was not considered and it is pending. Hence, this writ petition.

4. The learned counsel appearing for the fourth respondent

submitted that so far no representation has been received from the petitioner to include his name in the final voters list of Koothanallur Periya Pallivasal Jamath Wakf.

5. In view of the above, the petitioner is directed to submit an application to include his name in the final voters list of Koothanallur Periya Pallivasal Jamath Wakf before the fourth respondent forthwith. On receipt of such application, the fourth respondent is directed to consider the application submitted by the petitioner to include his name in the final voters list of Koothanallur Periya Pallivasal Jamath Wakf in accordance with the voters list of Election Commission of India within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of the application.

6. With the above direction, this writ petition stands disposed of. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed. No costs. 07.06.2024 Internet : Yes Index : Yes/No Lpp
