O R D E R

Heard Mr.K.Sudhakar, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.P.Srinivas, learned Standing Counsel for the respondent. With consent on either side, this writ petition is taken up for final disposal.

2. The petitioner has challenged the demand notice, dated 03.01.2018, demanding property tax for the period from 2016-17 and 2017-18 in respect of Door No.239-2.

3. The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the the petitioner is no way connected with the door number mentioned in the notice and he has been paying property tax regularly in respect of Door Nos.238/75/2 and 239/1.

4. Thus, it appears that without proper verification, the respondent has issued the impugned demand notice. Therefore, the impugned demand notice is liable to be set aside. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

5. Accordingly, this writ petition is allowed, the impugned demand notice is set aside and the matter is remanded to the respondent for fresh consideration. No costs.
