O R D E R

The Writ Petition has been filed to direct the respondent No.3 to give adequate police protection to celebrate the Chitra Pournami festival of Sri Thaduthandanathar and Thaiyal Nayagi Amman Temple at Thaiyur Village from 16.04.2022 to 18.04.2022 on the basis of the representation of the petitioner dated 29.01.2022.

2.The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner's temple is a non-listed temple under the control of Hindu Religious and Charitable Endowments Department, Government of Tamilnadu. The said temple is supervised by Thakkar, Gingee HR & CE Department, Villupuram. The petitioner had been conducting temple festival right from the year 2010. By earlier applications, the petitioner had approached this Court seeking for police protection and several orders have been passed by this Court to give police protection and some are pending.

3. Mr.A.Gokulakrishnan, learned Additional Public Prosecutor would submit that the respondents have been so far providing police protection to the petitioner.

4. In view of the above, second & third respondents are directed to consider the representation dated 29.01.2022 and provide adequate police protection.

5. With the above directions, this Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs.
