Respondents Prayer: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, for the issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the Respondents to pay the Petitioner the Sum of Rs.1,01,036 / towards the difference in Gratuity a Sum of Rs.51,908/ towards difference in surrender leave salary, a sum of Rs.38,064/- towards difference in commuted value of pension and a sum of Rs. 42,380/- towards arrears of difference in pension with interest at the rate of 12 percent per annum, within a specified time as may be fixed by this Honorable, Award Costs.

ORDER
Mr. A. Vinothraj, learned counsel takes notice for the 1st respondent. With the consent of both the parties, the writ petition is taken up for final disposal today at the stage of admission itself.
2. The petitioner joined in the year 1997 and retired in the 2019 from the respondent Corporation. It is his grievance that he is entitled to 12(3) settlement. Therefore, he submitted a representation to the respondents on 09.12.2025 seeking respective petitioners submitted individual representations on 15.09.2025 and 20.09.2025, seeking differential amount viz., arrears, pension, gratuity, surrender leave salary and commutation pension, along with interest at the rate of 12% per annum for the aforesaid settlement. However, till date, no orders have been passed on the said representation.
3. Learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that it would suffice, if a direction is issued by this Court to the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation dated 09.12.2025 to disburse the eligible differential amount with interest, within a time frame to be stipulated by this Court.

4. Learned counsel appearing for the 1st respondent submitted that petitioner's representation will be considered by the 1st respondent and orders will be passed in accordance with law.

In view of the limited prayer made by the learned counsel for the petitioner, this Court directs the 1st respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 09.12.2025, on merits and in accordance with law and, if he is entitled, to disburse the differential amount viz., arrears, pension, gratuity, surrender leave salary and commutation pension, together with interest at the rate of 6% per annum, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
