ORDER

Mr.M.Maharaja, learned Special Government Pleader takes notice for the respondents.

2. By consent, the main writ petition itself is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

3. The petitioner has filed the above writ petition to issue a writ of mandamus directing the respondents to grant permission to him for conducting SIMMA VAGANA AMMAN THIRUVEETHI ULA and KARIKOLAM on 30.04.2017 from 7.30 p.m onwards from Arulmighu Selliamman Thirukoil, No.164/1, Ayanavaram, Chennai-600 032, pursuant to the representation sent to the respondents on 24.04.2017.

4. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that inspite of the petitioner's representation dated 24.04.2017 to grant permission for conducting Simma Vagana Amman Thiruveethi Ula and Karikolam on 30.04.2017 from 07.30 p.m. onwards, the 4th respondent has not passed any orders so far.

5. Mr.M.Maharaja, learned Special Government Pleader, appearing for the respondents submitted that the 4th respondent may be directed to consider the petitioner's representation and pass orders in accordance with law, within a time frame.

6. Having regard to the submissions made by the learned counsel on either side, taking into consideration the limited prayer sought for by the the petitioner in the writ petition, without expressing any opinion with regard to the merits of the case, I direct the 4th respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 24.04.2017 and pass orders, on merits and in accordance with law, on or before 29.04.2017.

With the above observation, the writ petition is disposed of. No costs. Connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
