Respondent PRAYER: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondent to appoint a full time Chief Executive Officer to the Tamil Nadu Wakf Board, as mandated under Section 23 of the Wakf Act, 1995 and to constitute the Wakf Tribunals in the State of Tamil Nadu as per Section 83 of the Wakf Act, 1995 (Act 43 of 1995) as amended by the Wakf (Amendment) Act, 2013 (Act 27 of 2013). For Petitioner : Mr. I. Abrar Mohammed Abdullah For Respondent : Mr. S.T.S. Murthi Govt. Pleader.

O R D E R

(Made by The Hon'ble The Chief Justice) On perusal of the counter affidavit, it is admitted that no full time Chief Executive Officer of Tamil Nadu Wakf Board is in place. It is stated that the process is on and the learned Government Pleader assures the Court on behalf of the Government that the Officer concerned will be in place within a maximum period of three months from today.
