(2) of India for issuance of a writ of mandamus directing the respondents to complete the underground drainage work at Zone XIV of the Chennai Corporation in a time bound manner and in the interregnum direct the respondents to de-silt and cover the storm water drainage channel in these Ward 169 localities forthwith.

ORDER
(Order of the Court was made by M.Sundar, J.) This writ petition has been filed as a public interest litigation.
2. The prayer in the writ petition is to mandamus the official respondents to complete the underground drainage work at Zone-XIV of Chennai Corporation in a time bound manner and in the interregnum direct the respondents to de-silt and cover the storm water drainage channel in the locality concerned, which is subject matter of this writ petition.
3. In the hearing today, notwithstanding the aforesaid
(3) prayer, the learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that he restricts his prayer and that he would be satisfied if there is a direction to the authorities concerned to dispose of the representation made by the petitioner.
4. Three representations dated 05.11.2016, 07.02.2017 and 01.03.2017 have been filed as part of the typed set of papers.
5. Learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that he will be satisfied if the representation dated 01.03.2017 is disposed of.
6. Representation dated 01.03.2017 is at page No.12 of the typed set of papers and it is seen that the same has been sent to respondent No.1 before us.
7. Learned Government Pleader (in-charge) accepts notice on behalf of respondent No.1. Learned Government Pleader (incharge) brings to our notice that action in this regard has already been activated by respondent No.2/Corporation of Chennai.
8. Owing to all that have been stated supra, there shall be a
(4) direction to respondent No.1 to dispose of the representation dated 01.03.2017 made by the writ petitioner, in a manner known to law, within a period of four weeks from today.
9. With the above direction, the writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
