O R D E R

The petitioner is the legal representative of Thiru K.Rangasamy, who worked as Field Officer in Chennai Metropolitan Water Supply and Sewerage Board. The father of the petitioner died on 03.12.2002. The petitioner submitted an application for compassionate appointment on 15.10.2003. According to the petitioner, he was summoned by the first respondent for certificate verification. The petitioner appears to have produced the certificates for verification. However, there was no follow up action taken by the first respondent. The petitioner now seeks a direction to the first respondent to consider and dispose of the representation on merits.

2. The first respondent is directed to consider and dispose of the representation submitted by the petitioner dated 15.10.2003 on merits and as per law. Such exercise shall be completed within a period of three months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

3. The writ petition is disposed of with the above direction. No costs.
