ORDER

This Writ Petition has been filed for direction directing the respondents to consider the petitioners for the post of Secondary Grade Teachers in Thalavadi Block, Erode and appoint them accordingly. 2/6

2. The learned Additional Advocate General appearing for the third respondent submitted that, as per the Notification dated 09.02.2024, it is now proposed to recruit the Secondary Grade Teacher in all the Schools situated in the State of Tamil Nadu. The last date for receipt of application was on 07.03.2024. The petitioners had applied for the said post and participated in the selection process. If they were selected, they will be appointed as Secondary Grade Teachers. Hence, the request made by the petitioners cannot be considered.

3. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that after selection process, if no one is willing to join in the Schools, in which, the petitioners are working as temporary teachers in the cadre of Secondary Grade Teachers and they will be considered the said post.

4. In view of the above submissions, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the writ petition, the respondents are directed to consider the petitioners and pass orders on merits and in accordance with 3/6

law within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5. With the above direction, this Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs.
